Bursaries and awards

We provide a range of undergraduate and postgraduate bursaries to current students facing financial hardship, as well as offering PhD studentships and graduation awards. These bursaries and awards are funded each year by our generous alumni, corporate donors and fundraising events, and are administered by the RREF Disbursements Committee.

Named Bursaries

We administer a number of named bursaries which offer both financial assistance and, in some cases, the added benefit of contact with and support from the individual or organisation funding them:

George Fiennes Bursary

  • supported by a number of alumni and corporate contacts in memory of George Fiennes (BSc Estate Management, 1973)
  • gives students who otherwise would not be able to attend Reading access to financial assistance and the opportunity for an internship and/or mentor linked to the donors

The Drivers Jonas1725 Bursary

  • supported by the Trustees of the 1725 Heritage Trust.
  • provides financial support for one undergraduate and one postgraduate student who are facing hardship

Redevco also generously contribute to the RREF Bursary Fund to support students in financial need.
