RREF Access Internships

RREF Fair Access Internship SchemeFollowing on from our involvement in the Government funded Fair Access Internship Scheme that took place in summer 2010 we launched the RREF Access Internships open to all Part 1 and Part 2 Real Estate and Planning full-time undergraduate students.

The scheme aims to address issues relating to widening access to the profession and help students overcome some of the obstacles to participation which might be, for example, financial, social or experiential reasons.

We secure host firms with whom the students are placed and the students then can apply for an Access Summer Bursary, which is supported by the host firms and the John Tranter Memorial Fund, to ensure they are able to successfully undertake the placement.

In the summer of 2017 Berkeley Group, Carter Joans, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Gerald Eve, Gooch Cunliffe Whale LLP, JLL, Lichfields, Oxford Properties, Savills hosted 14 students between them.

Applications for the Access Internship Scheme 2018 will open in spring.

The internship scheme is targeted at under-represented groups in the profession and is designed to help students overcome the obstacles which may prevent them from undertaking the work experience needed to enhance their career prospects.

If you are thinking of applying for the Access Interhsip 2018, we suggest reading the below guide for further information.
