Talks in schools and colleges

RREF_Pathways_Talk1We visit targeted schools and colleges in the South of England and talk to Year 12 students, teachers and parents about study and career opportunities in property. Talks are attended by Pathways to Property Ambassadors (current Real Estate & Planning students from the University of Reading) and industry volunteers.  Talks can be delivered to whole year groups, subject specific classes (such as Geography, Economics or Business Studies), careers sessions or at parent events.

Talks will cover:

  • What is property?
  • A typical day or week as a professional working in property
  • Case studies of local developments
  • Skills needed to work in the sector
  • Information about the professional career opportunities in the property sector
  • Information about studying real estate and planning at the University of Reading

Talks normally last for 45 minutes with an opportunity to ask questions at the end.   Talks can be booked throughout the year and are free

Comments

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for arranging for Laurie to come to our school last Wednesday for our Year 12 UCAS days. He was extremely professional and very personable. His presentation was very interesting and he made Real Estate at Reading sound extremely interesting.

Vikki Barrie, Plumstead Manor School

'Thank you very much for your time - the students found the session extremely interesting and informative. I look forward to arranging something similar for next years event.
