Women in Property

It has been a busy couple of months for Reading alumnae and female Real Estate & Planning students as women in property have been recognised and rewarded.

Property Week's Women's Power List, recognising the 100 most influential women in the industry, comprised 10 Reading alumnae, including RREF Pioneer donors, RREF mentors and one of our Trustees. It is fantastic for the women at the top of the industry to be recognised and in turn we are delighted that a number of the Reading alumnae featured choose to support RREF.

"It is wonderful to be recognised in this way and to provide inspiration to female students. It is a testament to the University that the Women's Power List is so heavily populated with Reading alumnae." Sue Clayton, Executive Director Capital Markets, CBRE - RREF Pioneer Donor, Mentor and Trustee.

The Women's Power List is certainly something to aspire to for the female Real Estate & Planning students at Reading, with 3 of them well on their way to making a name for themselves at the Association of Women in Property's National Student Awards. The awards were launched to celebrate the wealth of talent, enthusiasm and ambition coming into the industry through universities throughout the country and Reading students have featured over the past few years.

Women in PropertyThis year, Real Estate & Planning students Isabelle Grigg and Louise Binks were both Highly Commended at the award ceremony which was held at the impressive Norton Rose offices in More London, Riverside. Only four of these awards are given each year, so to have two Reading students recognised for their excellence is a testament to the high quality of the cohort. A third student, Jessica Robins, was also in the final shortlist of 24 for the South East region. We would like to offer our congratulations to Isabelle, Louise and Jessica, and are sure they are ones to watch out for as they embark on their careers.
