The countdown is on to the 2014 RREF Annual Dinner - have you booked your place?

This year the RREF Annual Dinner has undergone a couple of changes: a new location and a RREF_Annual_Dinner_2014_smallnew date - 15 October at the Lancaster London Hotel.

Earlier than in previous years, the Annual Dinner is taking place on 15 October which means there is little over a month to go until this industry renowned event takes place and the great and the good of Real Estate come together to help us raise funds for our unique charity. Preparations are underway and reservations for the dinner, which will this year take place at the exclusive Lancaster London Hotel, are almost complete, so if you're planning on joining us but haven't yet booked your table yet please do so as soon as possible by clicking here.

The Annual Dinner is well known throughout the industry, and since 2002 has provided a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends, network with peers, and host clients, while supporting the excellent work that RREF does not only for the current real estate profession, but for the future of the profession as well. In the last four years the dinner has raised over £150,000, primarily from sponsorship and advert sales, along with the raffle and exciting auction that takes place on the evening. These funds have gone towards supporting RREF's charitable activities such as the Pathways to Property project, and our Scholarship & Bursary fund.

In 2013 we welcomed alumni from as early as 1971, the very first graduation year at the University of Reading, right through to the most recent BSc graduates of 2013. And this year looks set to be the same, with plenty of reunion tables joining us to celebrate 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years since graduation (the year they graduated may be different, but I'd imagine the parties were fairly similar!). David Hughes, Director Alchemy Asset Management has taken it upon himself to organise 2 tables of 1989 graduates and when asked why, he commented "The annual RREF dinner is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and this year, our 25th anniversary, should be great fun" - now who can argue with that!

But it isn't just alumni who have heard of the fun that's to be had at the Annual Dinner, we are also joined by a number of organisations who choose to take corporate tables at the dinner in order to entertain guests. This year we will welcome guests of Savills, Norton Rose Fulbright, Telereal Trillium, BNP Paribas Real Estate, SEGRO and DTZ. David Sinclair, Head of UK Real Estate at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, and host of the corporate table in 2013 remarked "As well as enjoying an entertaining evening, we value the opportunity to meet up with clients and contacts, share industry knowledge and host our guests in a convivial atmosphere. Also, knowing that our participation in the dinner supports the valuable and excellent work of RREF is very gratifying."
